On Mother’s Day last month two of our
children and their spouses did the Susan Komen Race for the Cure with David
and me. What an inspiring and emotional race that raised $2.3 million and
had over 47,000 participants. It was so touching to be part of such a
worthwhile event. At one time during the race a young mom carrying a 2 week
old baby was on one side of me racing in memory of her mother and on the
other side was a 74 year old breast cancer survivor. Take time this summer
to participate in a worthwhile cause. There are so many organizations all
over the world that helps raise money for research, those in need and to
eliminate deadly diseases. If we all do a little bit I know we will share
in making this a better world.
